A short order of operations before the desert night hits.

    Patch, then breathe

    Install the latest Steam build. Day-one hotfixes touched collision, V-Sync, and A Roof Against the Wind. Day two fixed invites, mission 6, and Towns Many Hands.

    Secure water and a roof

    Thirst and weather punish open camping. Place a well, walls, a door, and a Homestead Stove before you wander far.

    Farm while you scavenge

    Corn, wheat, beans, and barley grow through four stages. Plant early so harvests arrive while you mine and hunt.

    Treat Husks as hearing, not health bars

    Rye Fever remnants are blind and sound-sensitive. Walk, bait, and pick revolvers or shotguns for the range you actually have.

    Invite the posse last
